The Responsible Battery Coalition was highlighted as an example of the kind of progress that can be made when organizations join forces to achieve a common mission. Dr. Carole Mars of the Sustainability Consortium and Kellen Mahoney of the Suppliers Partnership for the Environment were joined by the RBC’s Executive Director Pat Hayes at the Sustainability Consortium’s Summit in Washington, D.C. The three discussed collaboration programs and the benefits of bringing varying expertise together to solve problems and the importance of collaboration to address the life-cycle and end-of-life opportunities for energy storage products, especially for new and emerging technologies.
