On a recent trip to the United States, Pat Hayes, executive director, sat down with Jürgen Trittin, a Green member of Germany’s parliament and former Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. The two discussed the transformation underway in energy and transportation not only in Europe but around the world. Batteries of all kinds, sizes and capabilities will be critical to this transformation. This will bring many new opportunities to reuse transportation batteries for stationary energy storage, but also creates challenges when these batteries reach their end-of-life. Having these insights from Mr. Trittin are invaluable as we launch the Coalition.
