WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Responsible Battery Coalition (RBC)—a coalition of leading companies and academic organizations committed to the responsible management of batteries—today commends its founding member, American battery manufacturer Clarios, for contributing $30,000 to support Los Angeles County First Responders. RBC will also make a $10,000 donation to help organizers raise a total of $100,000 for Southern California wildfire recovery efforts.
The event will take place at the Petersen Automotive Museum on Sunday, January 26, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. PT, featuring a Cruise-In with more than 100 cars from local enthusiasts. All proceeds from the Cruise-In will benefit the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and the LAPD West Bureau. Additionally, the American Red Cross will provide an information booth and Blood Donation Center.
The museum has partnered with a professional collection organization to accept donations for distribution to evacuation centers and families affected by the fires.
“It is a privilege to join the Petersen Automotive Museum in supporting the heroic LA County first responders,” said Adam Muellerweiss, RBC president and VP of corporate affairs at Clarios. “It is an inspiration to see the car community come together to honor the dedication and bravery of those who are truly the best of America.”
One hundred percent of the proceeds from this event will support LA County wildfire first responders. Admission to the event is free for first responders. In addition, to further acknowledge first responders for their heroic efforts, all LA City fire and police personnel will receive one day of free admission to the Petersen Automotive Museum until April 26, 2025.
“We are incredibly proud of the support our founding member, Clarios, is giving to the LA wildfire first responders,” said Steve Christensen, executive director of the RBC. “The Petersen Museum showcases some of the finest examples of American automotive innovation and pride. I can’t think of a better place to unite the Southern California car community to express our gratitude to these firefighters, who are genuine American heroes.”
