In May, the RBC was invited by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory to join with other organizations, companies and experts to discuss the approaches, needs and challenges of lithium ion battery recycling now and in the future. The meeting, held in Colorado, was well attended by representatives from Europe, Asia and Australia who included battery recyclers, OEMs, industry associations, academics, national laboratories and nonprofit organizations. RBC Director of Strategic Initiatives Steve Christensen participated in a panel discussion of lithium ion recycling policies.
